The Big-eared Rat.

Once upon a time, there lived a group of intelligent animals, all of which handle the business around their biosphere. they are being led by a peculiar creature, a duck. She was loved by all, and her little helpers did all they could to get her happy. The duck's most loved assistant was a rat. This rat was not cute in appearance, actually, he had a pair of large ears, and each ear was big enough to cover a whole cake saucer. This appearance nver changed the ducks look on him. They had a lot of good times together. They enjoyed their work, gathering up tiny bits of facts all around their surroundings, interviewing the small animal life, the ants, bees, and crickets, to the large ones, the tigers, lions, and eagles. They were very successful.

The duck had a superior. She was an ancient lizard, who lived for hundreds of years. She walked upright, as if human, and she was the wisest of them all. The superior then called a meeting. But this meeting was no ordinary meeting. It was an important case regarding an imbalance in the biosphere. The meet was held in the nest of the pidgeon. The pidgeon was a very useful animal, for he is there to help at times when the group feels a lot of pressure. His nest houses a lot of space, big enough for the whole group to fit and stay the night. There, all the group members came and spent the night, working their wits off.
The group then started to discuss about the problem of the biosphere. It was highly confidential, and if the information they were talking about hapens to slip, then the whole group's works, files, and the data will be rejected by the Octopus and the Curly Chimp, who were the heads of the bioshpere. The rat, having a relation with the Octopus, started to listen to the conversation. He had a plan to drop the whole group, and start one of his own. Using his big ears, he picked up every bit of information he could from the conversation. he later told the whole story to his superior, the Capibara. The Capibara was furious. He punished the group for the deeds they commited...

The group was startled. They knew that every member had an oath of loyalty to the group, thus everyone will be trusted NOT to release any word about ANY conversation. They held a tribunal regarding this, and one member was found guilty.

The Rat.

They trusted the rat. The rat disobeyed the rule, to start his own group which will overthrow his old one. He broke his bond with his best friend, the duck, for his own will. He failed to be a good member of his own group where he was loved and respected, even in the way he was. Greed and power took over him, and he also had the apetite for destruction, for the group later found out that the rat was planning to destroy the group base to destroy any work done by them. The rat was punished badly for what he has done. He was exiled to a marsh where anyone who enters, shall never get out.

The rat was never heard of...again.
